Corporate social responsibility

At PPL we are passionately dedicated to our CSR programme, ensuring we give back to our people, our community, our industry and our environment.

Through a range of projects and initiates we aim to reduce the impact of our business on the environment, fundraise and support a range of music and other charities and furthermore, strive to make PPL and the entire music industry a more socially responsible place of which we can all be proud.

Our People

All PPL's employees are encouraged to respect our environment and take part in fundraising events and volunteer days.  We have a dedicated CSR team to review, promote and co-ordinate our environmental and social responsibilities and all staff are encouraged to put their CSR ideas forward.

Our Environment

PPL is committed to reducing negative impact on our environment.  We have been working with Julie's Bicycle, a not-for-profit company helping the music industry cut its greenhouse gas emissions and create a low carbon creative future http://www.juliesbicycle.com/

With the help of Julie's Bicycle we have been able to audit our carbon footprint and set future goals.

Our 'Cycle to Work' scheme has successfully encouraged many PPL employees to cycle to work and reduce their carbon footprint.

PPL has achieved a binless office with recycling bins on all floors of our building, this has resulted in reduced waste and increased recycling.

Our Community

Through a variety of fundraising events and charitable activities PPL employees contribute to our community.

In 2009 PPL raised in excess of £13,000 for the charity Whizz-Kidz. Fundraising events in 2009 included a Snowdon expedition, a live music night in collaboration with PRS for Music (who raised money for the Teenage Cancer Trust) and a beer tasting evening.

PPL employees have taken part in a series of volunteer days for KIDS, decorating and gardening at KIDS' leisure centres and playgrounds.
